This work aims to rescue the history of Psychopedagogy in Paraíba, notably in the period 2002-2022, and constitutes a pioneering investigation on the subject. The investigation was developed at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB) and is located in the field of the history of education in the present time and incorporates the contribution of authors such as Saviani and Scocuglia, in addition to Bossa and Fagali. We tried to work with primary and secondary sources such as official documents from training institutions, books and scientific articles, interviews with actors and actresses involved in the process, institutions’ internet pages and profiles on digital networks. It was found that psychopedagogy in Paraíba developed amid the expansion of Higher Education in Brazil (1990-2000) and the emergence of the paradigms of education for all, inclusive education and the educational focus on learning. The first records found of psychopedagogical practice in Paraíba are from 1962, in an action by the Popular Education Campaign (CEPLAR). The first professionals in the area in the state were trained in specialization courses held in São Paulo, in the late 1980s/1990s. The pioneering specialization course in the area in our state was created in 2002 at the Integrated Center for Technology and Research (CINTEP), focusing on the institutional area. In 2009, the UFPB graduated in Psychopedagogy. In 2013, the local Study Group of the Brazilian Psychopedagogy Association (ABPp) was born. Since then, it has been an expanding field of knowledge in the state, concerned with the growing demands of learning and its challenges.
