Abstract

MUNIMOS, Silvia Szterling. Social Project of the Brazilian Association of Psychopedagogy: Study of a case of group psychopedagogical care. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2025, vol.42, n.128, pp.392-403.  Epub Sep 12, 2025. ISSN 0103-8486.  https://doi.org/10.51207/2179-4057.20250032.

This article is a tribute to the Social Project of the Brazilian Psychopedagogy Association which, by offering to assist children and adolescents with learning problems arising from popular environments, fulfills a social and political function of the highest importance. It presents itself as a case study whose purpose is twofold: to rescue the contributions of dynamic Psychopedagogy inaugurated by Sara Paín with regard to understanding and treatment of learning problems, and to delve into group psychopedagogical practice, about which little has yet been written. Its analysis is theoretically based on the contributions of Sara Paín and professionals who support her, such as Alicia Fernandez and Ana Maria Muñiz, as well as psychoanalysts such as Cristina Kupfer and Rinaldo Voltolini, who work in the fields of Psychoanalysis and Education. The study concludes that the relationships established between peers within the group can have therapeutic effects, that is, they can mobilize them to learn.
