LIMA, Patrícia Oliveira et al. Post-Pandemic Adolescence: Evaluation of Training for Protection Network Professionals. Paidéia (Ribeirão Preto) [online]. 2025, vol.35, e3540. Epub 11-Dez-2025. ISSN 0103-863X. https://doi.org/10.1590/1982-4327e3540.
The study evaluated the effectiveness of a training program for professionals in the protection network, focusing on adolescence and the promotion of resilience processes, aiming to increase familiarity with the addressed topics and indirectly contribute to workers’ engagement and mental health. A sample of 366 professionals underwent a six-week intervention, and pre- and post-test analyses (repeated measures t-test and JT method) showed significant increases in familiarity and engagement but no changes in mental health scores. Challenges such as job precariousness, lack of resources, and cultural pressure on caregiving roles may have limited the results. The study highlights the need for continued training programs to promote deeper changes, while contributing to the understanding of the challenges faced by professionals in complex contexts, particularly in the post-pandemic period, and emphasizing the importance of individual and organizational factors in training programs.
