ROMAO, Sandriele Brenda Batista e VIDAL, Gabriela Pereira. Parenting of children and adolescents in institutional care: A psychodramatic path in the Amazon. Rev. Bras. Psicodrama [online]. 2025, vol.33, e0825. Epub 12-Maio-2025. ISSN 0104-5393. https://doi.org/10.1590/psicodrama.v33.695.
This study analyzed how group psychodrama helps in the construction of the role of children and adolescents in institutional support. A qualitative, phenomenological and psychodramatic approach was used, with action research involving eight family members in a municipality in the state of Amazonas. Psychodrama was applied as a form of group intervention and understanding, promoting a spontaneous and creative experience of bonds. The results highlight that institutional support, although challenging, was perceived by families as an opportunity to reorganize parents and strengthen bonds, enabling the children to return home in more favorable conditions. The conclusion is that group psychodrama is a powerful and effective tool for working with families in institutional care, promoting significant changes.
