GIRALDI, Bruna Maiara e VIDAL, Gabriela Pereira. Bipersonal psychodrama and female autism: self-recognition after late diagnosis. Rev. Bras. Psicodrama [online]. 2025, vol.33, e1025. Epub 20-Jun-2025. ISSN 0104-5393. https://doi.org/10.1590/psicodrama.v33.700.
This study aimed to analyze the recognition of the self in a woman diagnosed late with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) through bipersonal psychodrama. This is a qualitative case study with a 39-year-old woman, using psychodrama therapy sessions. The analysis was conducted based on Morenian theory. The results had three phases: double, mirror and role inversion, each contributing to the strengthening of the therapeutic bond, the search for new cultural conserves, and the development of more authentic narratives about the patient’s identity. The research concluded that bipersonal psychodrama is effective in helping women diagnosed late with ASD, facilitating the recognition of the self and the resignification of their experiences.
