The Black Experimental Theater emerged in 1944 as an expression of resistance to racism. Through Group Therapy, worked in the theater, the sociologist Alberto Guerreiro Ramos carried out the first sociodramatic studies in Brazil, demonstrating the power of social transformation of the morenian method. The article describes the Sociodrama “Crossings: African Diaspora and Affections” carried out in two different circumstances with the aim of reflecting on the history of resistance and ancestral rescue of black people in Brazil. Aspects of brazilian racial dynamics were present in the scenes and reactions of the audience, protagonists and director. The fact that the proposal was experienced in different groups demonstrated intersectional aspects that were decisive in the singularity of each experience. This allowed us to confirm the potential for analysis and political resistance of the sociodramatic method.
