This article presents a sociodramatic intervention-research conducted with educators from a Board of Education in the countryside of São Paulo, funded by Program of Scientific Initiation Scholarships (PIBIC), of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). Over the course of three sessions, this qualitative study aimed to assess the educators’ understanding of Law 10.639/03, facilitate reflections on the topic, and collectively construct meanings and possibilities for action in the context of ethnic-racial relations. Sociodrama was employed as the guiding methodology due to its effectiveness in eliminating prejudice and stereotypes, as affirmed by Guerreiro Ramos. It became evident that the sociodramatic group interventions created a space for critical reflection on the colonial and racist legacy embedded in Brazilian education, while also enabling an awakening to the theme within the educational context.
