Taking as starting point the article of Strachey on the therapeutic action of psychoanalysis, the author refers to the goal and description of the analytic process, thinking that this concept applies to the analyst as well, during his training and when he is going to work with his patient. He considers the importance of transference and countertransference in the psychoanalytic encounter, and comments on the institutional aspects of the analytic training, such as the search for a citizenship, the manifest and latent contents of the institution, as well as its rules, and the presence of thirds in the analysis and supervisions. After considering questions of personnel analysis, he presents suggestions on the analytic training.
