Abstract

PAIXAO, Christiane Vecchi da. The interminable formation of the psychoanalyst. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2022, vol.56, n.3, pp.91-98.  Epub Aug 05, 2024. ISSN 0486-641X.  https://doi.org/10.5935/0486-641x.v56n3.07.

We know that transference gives power to the psychoanalyst, being at the same time an engine and obstacle for an analysis. It is up to him not to abuse this power, not to exercise the suggestive or indoctrinating power favored by transferential regression. When it comes to making an analyst flourish, is analytical training free from this risk? How to integrate the prehistory of the term formation, related to the idea of reproduction by similarity, with an ideal of formation that respects individuality and singularity in the apparent uniformity of a formation within an Institute of Psychoanalysis?

Keywords : transference; analytical training; psychoanalyst’s function; abstinence; power.
