Psychoanalysis with children, as it is thought and practiced today, has developed from many contributions since the first articles by pioneers such as Klein and Anna Freud. In this journey, the author chose to write about the psychoanalytic work with parents, both because of its relevance for those who work with children, and because she understands that there have been meaningful changes in this area. A selection of literature, from basic authors to more recent contributions is presented, along with two clinical reports, in order to discuss and make considerations about the subject.
