Abstract
CILURZO NETO, Diva Aparecida. Psychic frontiers in childhood: transgenerational and psychosomatic ruptures. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2023, vol.57, n.2, pp.57-73. Epub Nov 22, 2024. ISSN 0486-641X. https://doi.org/10.69904/0486-641x.v57n2.05.
The main focus of this clinical-theoretical study is to analyze the psychic and bodily manifestations triggered in a child by disturbing psychic contents of transgenerational basis, which, due to their poignancy, could not be mentalized or symbolically decoded. To this end, the author presents the analytical trajectory experienced by a child-analyst duo in the period of two and a half years of care. The analytical duo deals with archaic and stiffened psychic layers, and as a result the disturbing object with a familiar connotation, which Freud calls the uncanny, arises. Through experiences inside and outside the analytic field with the patient and his mother, psychic centers of pain are revealed, loaded with deadly self- and hetero-aggressiveness, which are externalized through the paralysis of symbolic capacity, dementalization, and overwhelming anguish evacuated in the body.
Keywords : psychic frontiers; child; transgenerational inheritance; psychosomatic disorders; uncanny/familiar.
