Abstract

JUNQUEIRA FILHO, Luiz Carlos Uchôa. Bion and the caesuras between Dostoievsky’s Underground Man and Beckett’s Homeless Man. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2023, vol.57, n.2, pp.141-152.  Epub Nov 22, 2024. ISSN 0486-641X.  https://doi.org/10.69904/0486-641x.v57n2.10.

In this work, the author was inspired by the observation of very similar existential conditions between Dostoevsky’s Underground Man and Beckett’s Homeless Man, mainly the caesuras they lived in search of true love. Testifying the catastrophic changes evinced by their idiosyncrasies, the reader is led to wonder what could have been the destiny of these odd personalities.

Keywords : Underground Man; Homeless Man; caesura; catastrophic change.
