The author aims to present and discuss the issue of religiosity and spirituality today, using observations and reflections based on psychoanalytic clinical situation. He begins by explaining the formation of images of the absolute and the divine through three vertices: care experiences received by the baby, images of potency derived from the experience of helplessness and precariousness, and access to ethical perspectives, which offer the human being the organization of a personal axiological axis. He discusses the maturation of the personality over time, which also promotes the evolution of the images of the absolute and the divine, from the ontological and ontic point of views. Finally, he addresses phenomena that enable the establishment of a personal spirituality.
