SCHOUERI, Patrícia de Campos Lindenberg. From love to melancholy: constitution and transformation. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2023, vol.57, n.3, pp.141-158.  Epub 04-Nov-2024. ISSN 0486-641X.  https://doi.org/10.69904/0486-641x.v57n3.10.

Based on Keats’ poem “Ode to Melancholy”, intertwined with a clinical case, the author goes pari passu through the search for a subject that is absent, presents itself in ambiguity and can be enslaved by the delight of pain and the ruins of the self. She proposes a reflection on the paths to follow in the search for communication that affects these dead, devitalized aspects to relational life, so that, by contacting them, we can illuminate their existence/vitality. To do this, it is necessary to rely on intuition and inspiration, along the lines of the Muses, daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne, who allowed the rhythm of the sung word, poetry, to express something “lost” in memory. Through the aesthetic object, it is possible to re-establish internal communication, stimulated by the external, by providing contact with the originary, sensual truth. The flow of conversation in the analysis room, with words spoken unpretentiously, since the critical mind sheds a light on them that hides them, seeks to re-establish living communication with the “dead” aspects through an affection orchestrated by four hands. This way of being and communicating is similar to the way a poem is constituted.
