Abstract

LEITE, Rodrigo Lage  and  DINIZ, Juliana Belo. Ethical demands from the clinic to the public debate between psychoanalysis and science: on some results of a research in the interface zone. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2024, vol.58, n.2, pp.85-100.  Epub Dec 02, 2024. ISSN 0486-641X.  https://doi.org/10.69904/0486-641x.v58n2.06.

At different times in its history, psychoanalysis has been challenged in the public debate regarding its scientificity. In this article, the authors present, through the observation of some of the results of a research project in the interface zone between psychoanalysis, psychiatry and medicine, a reflection on what they considered to be the ethical demands of the clinic in this debate, and on how the disregard of elements deriving from it (the inclusion of singularity and the decentering of the unconscious) can produce biases, misunderstandings and ethical deviations.

Keywords : psychoanalysis; science; subjectivity; technology and society; ethics.
