Abstract

SANDLER, Paulo Cesar. Psychoanalysis, science and theory of science: relatives, friends or strangers?. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2024, vol.58, n.3, pp.191-208.  Epub Mar 28, 2025. ISSN 0486-641X.  https://doi.org/10.69904/0486-641x.v58n3.14.

The author proposes a transdisciplinary study under the psychoanalytic vertex, encompassing a history of ideas in our civilization and the theory of science, to investigate some social and intra-psychic origins in the researcher’s orientations, both in science and in psychoanalysis. His aim is to establish with less imprecision the scientific qualification of psychoanalysis, which is periodically questioned, both by academics and, nowadays, by the members of the psychoanalytic movement.

Keywords : psychoanalysis; theory of science; linguistics; epistemology; material and psychic reality.
