Abstract

SANTOS, Letícia Alves  and  FERREIRA, Mário César. Quality of working life at risk in the context of a higher education institution. Estud. psicol. (Natal) [online]. 2023, vol.28, n.3, pp.363-373.  Epub Mar 28, 2025. ISSN 1413-294X.  https://doi.org/10.69909/1678-4669.20230031.

The research aimed to describe an evaluation of workers at a Brazilian public university about their quality of life at working (QWL) based on the application of the Ergonomics of Activity Applied to Quality of Life at Working (EAA_QWL) approach. For data collection, the Quality of Working Life Assessment Inventory (IA_QVT) was used. A total of 1,141 workers participated in the survey. The results show that a general assessment of QWL of the participants is moderate, considering critical and positive aspects of their perception of the work context. The factors evaluated as the most negative were “Working organization”, “Working conditions” and “Recognition and professional growth”. On the other hand, the factors “Link between work and social life” and “Socio-professional work relations” were perceived as promoters of QWL. These results provided inputs for the promotion of QWL at the institutional level.

Keywords : quality of life at working; brazilian public university; activity ergonomics.
