This study reports the development of a contingency management (CM) remote training-including a digital booklet adapted to the Brazilian context, and a set of video lessons and remote activities - and evaluated its efficacy in promoting knowledge and positive attitudes towards CM implementation for professionals working with substance use disorders. Knowledge and attitudes were assessed pre- and post-training, and also in a one-month follow-up. The sample included 92 professionals, 13 of which responded to the post-test, and nine to the follow-up. In the post-test their knowledge increased and their attitudes were more favorable. However, these results were not maintained on follow-up. Future studies can improve our training material to contribute to the wide dissemination of CM, in addition to making comparisons between the online and face-to-face modalities.
