Abstract

MARTINS, Karla Patrícia Holanda; MARTINS, Osvaldo Costa  and  CAPOTE, Natercio Antonio Ferreira. Obsessive neurosis and time: incidences of social acceleration?. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2018, vol.40, n.39, pp.51-66. ISSN 1413-6295.

The paper discusses the implications of obsessional neurosis, temporality, and social acceleration. We questioned about the reverberations of social acceleration in the psychic suffering of the obsessive in their complaints and symptoms related to hurry, to procrastination and to the superinvestment of thinking. With the support of fragments of clinical cases, we analyze how the activity of the thought can be in the service of the obsessive position ahead of time. We use the Freudian and Lacanian theories to demarcate the place of the notions of time and temporality in psychoanalysis and the relation of thought in the obsessive subject. In the end, the possible relationships between accelerated temporality and neurotic suffering are questioned.

Keywords : Obsessive Neurosis; Psychoanalysis; Superinvestment of thinking; Time; Social Acceleration.
