The idea of this trainee work was having an experience with family’s psychology on a different way than the clinic. The proposal of observing the baby’s ingress on the day nursery involves some points of my interest: the ingress on a second institution, besides family, to disconnect from mother, people and places already known, the necessity of meeting new people, new places, dealing with them, exploring, being frustrated and wining. Entering in a new institution is a time of changes and growing, for the child and her parents. At the same time, it’s possible to think about the enormous diversity of things the child will be in contact with just by staying at school, or other new places, things that parents want to protect their children from. But they can not stay together all the time. This essay intends to show the observation of the work of the child, her parents and the educator to reach some kind of harmony on the child’s ingress on the institution. Harmony that pass by problems and shows the relations among the people involved.
