This article aims to portray aspects of immediate and mediated school reality, with their meanings and directions for educators and students. The research context was a state school in Goiânia-GO, which sought to know through making interactive observations, themed compositions and drawings. The participant subjects were the management, the coordination, four teacher and five elementary school students. The analysis and qualitative interpretation of information, emphasizing the interrelationship between the objective and subjective aspects, provided a reflection on the concrete reality of school scenario and an indication of aspects that go beyond the immediate and moving across the singularity and the social organization of the school. For example, the difficulty of emotional involvement of teachers with the educational project as well as from students as subjects of the process, although both parties express a need to expand the educational scenario.
