This work condenses the academic and professional trajectory of Professor Lino de Macedo, of the Psychology Institute of the University of São Paulo and a recently inducted member of the São Paulo Academy of Psychology. It presents his first experiences in the area of Education and his introduction to Psychology, mainly with the studies of Jean Piaget’s works. It show, furthermore, his valuable contribution to the educators, allowing a reflection on the teaching strategies which should be constantly reformulated in order to promote a significant apprenticeship, of a psychopedagogy that may be applied in the schooling context, and not only in the clinical context.
