Resumen

TARDIVO, Leila Salomão de La Plata Cury. The psychoanalytic psychodiagnosis process - the clinical psychologist’s knowledge and practice. Bol. - Acad. Paul. Psicol. [online]. 2022, vol.42, n.103, pp.111-123.  Epub 22-Nov-2024. ISSN 1415-711X.  https://doi.org/10.5935/2176-3038.20220012.

The psychoanalytic psychodiagnosis, focused here, is fundamental and central to the psychologist’s formation and practice, particularly for clinicians. Considerations and reflections are presented from theoretical and clinical perspectives. Starting with the concept of social suffering, and explaining how it relates to people’s living conditions, reverberates intensely and contributes to psychic suffering. Bleger’s conceptions about the perception of socially-determined emotional suffering is discussed here, and an approach of psychology as a human science is drawn by this important Argentinian psychoanalyst and author. Winnicott’s conceptions are also discussed in this study, and largely contribute to important reflections on the subject. Contributions of other Argentinian psychologists (Ocampo e Arzeno), who criticized the objective performance of the psychological diagnosis at the time, are considered, having presented articulations between the psychoanalytical theoretical referential and the building of diagnostic knowledge. In the same direction, Professor Walter Trinca proposed the comprehensive psychodiagnostic and the Drawing and Story Procedure, which have been used, in a comprehensive and interventive perspective, for almost 50 years. Other accomplished studies, produced and co-ordinated by the author, are described in a dialetical proposal, in what is called Social Clinic. This study brings reflections that substantiate the theory and practice of Clinical Psychology, where the roles of investigating, training professionals, developing promotion, prevention and intervention according to a social clinical perspective, all integrated and in constant interaction, articulate under a primordial interest: caring for human suffering in its varied manifestations and contexts.
