Abstract

BEZERRA, Luiz Henrique  and  MADER, Bruno Jardini. Experience report in a voice-hearing group at a child and adolescent psychosocial care center. Bol. - Acad. Paul. Psicol. [online]. 2025, vol.45, n.108, pp.81-91.  Epub Nov 07, 2025. ISSN 1415-711X.  https://doi.org/10.5935/2176-3038.20250007.

The study addresses the experience of a resident psychologist participating in a Multiprofessional Residency Program, working with a group of adolescents who hear voices at a Child and Adolescent Psychosocial Care Center (CAPSi). The report aims to describe the CAPSi environment, recount and reflect on the psychologist's experience within the voice-hearing group, and discuss the resident's training in managing patients with complex mental health conditions. Therefore, the discussion of the article was organized based on the thematic grouping of the fragments of the logbook, into five axes: hearing voices, which explores the phenomenon of auditory hallucinations from the perspective of the adolescents; group dynamics, which examines how relationships develop among the adolescents within the group; crisis management, which focuses on the technologies available at CAPSi and the care arrangements implemented to address crises; techniques, which highlight the methods used to facilitate the expression of subjectivity and promote social rehabilitation; the work with the multidisciplinary team, both of the resident with the team and with the group facilitator; and the training of the resident, who discusses and questions what theoretical-practical skills a residency program can develop for the psychologist. Issues regarding diagnosis in adolescents and the role of the group as a favorable environment for maintaining the quality of life of young people are highlighted.
