Abstract

This article shows the relationship between variables, quality of life and social adjustment between laryngectomized, indicating greater social adequacy greater quality of life, demonstrating that there is a relationship between variables. The social appropriateness regarding integration of multiple factors that affect the behavior of the individual to the situations of everyday life, is related to the quality of life dimensions in the perception of the individual in the context of culture and value system in which the subject live and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards and concerns. We conclude that the laryngectomized requires a continuity of care after surgery. The network of support helps the patient obtaining a better social rehabilitation and quality of life.
