Aim: to analyze the return to work among bank workers with repetitive strain injuries (RSI) of a bank in São Paulo, checking the difficulties and the facilities in the process. Methodology: It is a study that applied interviews with 16 workers in such conditions. The data analysis is based on the Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo (Collective Subject Speech). Results: About the situation of living with RSI was pointed out: constant presence of pain, acquired incapacity and the prejudice caused by the disease. About situations at work that were unfavorable to the return were mentioned: too high goals and tasks, non - stop workdays, over time and pression to sell. About the contributive aspect to the return to work was the feeling of social inclusion. Conclusions: to the success of returning to work by people with RSI some actions were proved to be essential, such as the establishment of occupational activities related with the worker' s capacities and support from co-workers and managers.
