This study aims to analyze the challenges and obstacles for female research productivity fellows CNPq in psychology. This quali-quantitative research with a non-probabilistic sample of 85 women from 204 productivity fellows registered at CNPq and respondents to an online questionnaire registered in the SurveyMonkey tool. Among the 85 participants, 24 integrated this qualitative remote interview stage. Results indicated the predominance of white, cis, heterosexual women from the Brazilian Southeast. The main challenges and obstacles are related to a scenario of internal dispute within the various areas of science and technology and the changes in the world of academic work. Productivity fellowships show feelings of satisfaction for the academic recognition and discouragement due to an overload of activities and functions.
