The use of art in mental health settings is widespread. However, there is a lack of studies on this tool as a harm reduction (HR) strategy for people with high-risk substance use. In Recife, the Fábrica Fazendo Arte Group is a reference in this practice. The aim of this study was to understand the role of art in the aforementioned project as an instrument for the social reintegration of drug users, from the perspective of Harm Reduction. This is a qualitative study that used a focus group as an instrument, and the data obtained were submitted to Content Analysis Technique, of thematic type, based on Bardin. From the analysis of the data, it was possible to understand the group space as a facilitator in the process of reintegration of the subjects; of promoting and maintaining self-esteem, as well as stimulating autonomy through art.
