The resilience assessment is traditionally carried out through qualitative strategies. This is because quantitative measures are scarce and need further investigation of their psychometric qualities. Accordingly, this study aimed to analyze the items of an instrument called Children’s Resilience Markers. Participants were 461 children, aged between eight and 12 years, 223 of whom were female. The Graduated Response Model, estimated using the Joint Maximum Likelihood method, was used, with the levels of difficulty, fit indices, and differential functioning of the items estimated. The results showed good variability of the resilient ability in the sample, with items that assess the lowest level being more frequent. Differential functioning was identified for three items according to sex, and another three for age. The data indicate the adequacy of the items and the theoretical consistency of the material. Future studies are suggested to assess the normative aspects of the instrument.
