Estimating the conflict resolution strategies used by students living in student housing is important for researchers and professionals who provide assistance directed toward the well-being of this population. This study aimed to develop the Student Housing Conflict Resolution Strategies (SHCRS) scale and to investigate its factorial validity and internal consistency. Two studies were conducted with students residing in public university accommodation in Paraíba state. In Study 1, 200 residents participated, with a mean age of 23 years (SD=4.20). The exploratory analysis revealed a three-factor structure: Aggressive Strategy, Assertive Strategy, and Submissive Strategy Study 2, 200 residents participated, with a mean age of 23 years (SD=3.04). Through confirmatory factor analysis, it was observed that the three-factor structure represented the best alternative, demonstrating satisfactory fit indices, with Cronbach’s alphas higher than .70. Consequently, it was possibly to conclude that the SHCRS demonstrates evidence of factorial validity and internal consistency and can measure conflict resolution strategies of students residing in student housing.
