Computerized instrument for assessment of inhibitory control: psychometric properties. Aval. psicol. [online]. 2024, vol.23, n.2, pp.212-222. Epub 02-Dez-2024. The assessment of inhibitory control (IC) is typically conducted using non-computerized instruments, and few of these instruments demonstrate a comprehensive set of psychometric properties. Therefore, the aim of this study was to present the results of two phases of a study on psychometric evidence of a computerized IC assessment instrument. The first phase involved an evaluation based on internal structure using Item Response Theory and Structural Equation Modeling (N = 170 children and teenagers); while the second phase was based on relationships with external variables using an IC assessment instrument with recognized psychometric properties (FDT) and criterion variables such as working memory (Neupsilin-INF), mathematics (Coruja-Promat), age, and school year (N=101 children). The results indicated that the instrument demonstrated good psychometric quality, particularly in relation to its time measurement and the criterion variables. However, further investigation into the number of correct answers and item difficulty levels is still needed.
