Symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are commonly seen in school-age children, and teachers' knowledge about the disorder is important for the management of children with ADHD. The aim of this study was to investigate psychometric properties of the Brazilian version of the Knowledge of Attention Deficit Disorders Scale (KADDS-Br). After applying the KADDS-Br to 202 teachers from 18 municipalities in Rondônia, confirmatory factor analysis was conducted using the robust Diagonally Weighted Least Squares (DWLS) estimation method, with polychoric correlations. The analysis was performed twice excluding 6 items, the remaining 33 items had factor loadings ranging from 0.33 to 0.87. The fit indices were reestimated, CFI=0.954, TLI=0.951, RMSEA=0.039, in a three-factor solution. The KADDS-Br corresponded to the theoretical expectations, with the three-factor model being the one with the best adjustment for general characteristics-symptoms and diagnoses (0.959), treatment-symptoms and diagnosis (0.932), treatment-general characteristics (0.847).
