Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze a historical trajectory regarding Brazilian Psychological Assessment (PA), outlining theoretical contributions on social justice and the commitment to international humanitarian agendas in order to contribute to less exclusionary and pathologizing evaluation processes. In this sense, the present study was divided into historical aspects of AP, followed by discussions about AP and social sustainability and social justice in the construction of psychological tests. The final considerations were based on national and international literature on the topic and sought to bring implications for research and practice in AP.
