CHIMAINSKI, Carina  e  PEREIRA, Amanda Schreiner. BODY-LANGUAGE: EFFECTS OF LISTENING IN THE CASE OF A BOY WITH ESOPHAGEAL ATRESIA. Psicol. rev. (Belo Horizonte) [online]. 2021, vol.27, n.2, pp.348-367.  Epub 20-Jan-2025. ISSN 1677-1168.  https://doi.org/10.5752/p.1678-9563.2021v27n2p348-367.

This is an experience report on the clinical listening process concerning a boy with esophageal atresia. The analysis was conducted using psychoanalytic theory and was structured around case excerpts combined with the concepts on which the interventions were based. This study focuses on the aspects of psychic constitution that deal with the symbolic demarcation of the body-language and the imaginary representations of the body in the mirror, in addition to the processes of alienation and separation. The symbolic imaginary constructions produced by the clinical interventions contributed to the inscription of corporal boundaries through the discourse between the agent and the Other, as well as the authentication of a unified body-image. Ultimately, the process of psychic construction was supported by naming the affect between body and object, the pulsional liaison between gaze and voice, corporal exchanges and the presence of intervals where the subject of the subconscious could manifest itself.
