Abstract

DE TILIO, Rafael. Collaborative management?: Operative groups with health/social assistance professionals in uberaba. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2013, vol.14, n.2, pp.86-101. ISSN 1677-2970.

The aim of this study was to understand the dynamics of labour and management activities conducted by multidisciplinary team workers of health and social care in Uberaba/Brazil in order to reframe and upgrade their technical and interventional skills. Ten meetings in groups operating mode, with eight participants, were held. Among topics discussed, the highlights were: humanization of care, the need of flattening the relationship between managers/professionals/users and ongoing training. The main result was the formulation of new coping strategies (especially more frequent meetings in the help services) intended to strengthen the dialogue between professionals and managers, thus seeking greater autonomy and responsibility in the workplace, a process that faces many difficulties and is still under development.

Keywords : management; labour teams; health; social assistance; operative groups.
