The Life Design model proposes career interventions that include narrative and identity processes. Importantly, the concept of narratability deals with the ability to articulate, identify, and communicate meaningful events from personal history with continuity and cohesion. The present article presents the development of a measurement instrument to evaluate this construct. The international scientific literature was used for the construction, a validation process occurred through a judges’ analysis and a semantic analysis. The Narratability Scale was created with 36 items to access narratability in the Brazilian context, and initial evidences of content validity are presented. The data are discussed as to the advances and limits in the definition and evaluation of career narratability.
