Abstract

RODRIGUES, Fernanda Settecerze  and  MARTINS, Larissa Maria David Gabardo. Brazilian adaptation of the Work-Family Support Policies Scale for working women. Rev. bras. orientac. prof [online]. 2024, vol.25, n.1, pp.17-27.  Epub Sep 06, 2024. ISSN 1984-7270.  https://doi.org/10.26707/1984-7270/2024v25n0103.

Work-family support policies can facilitate the compatibility of personal and professional lives in women returning from maternity leave. The present study aimed to obtain psychometric properties of the Work-Family Support Policy Scale in the Brazil. 565 workers participated in the study. Confirmatory factor analyzes showed that the 25-item model, divided into five first-order factors and one of second-order was what obtained the best fit indices. The multigroup analyzes showed invariance between the groups divided in terms of organizational sector and work modality. The scale showed positive correlations with the supervisor’s supportive behavior to the family and with the organizational culture of satisfaction and well-being. It was concluded that the instrument presented psychometric properties that recommend its use in future investigations.
