The objective was to analyze the perceptions of quality of work life in university psychology trainees in region of Metropolitan Lima. A qualitative research was carried out from a constructionist paradigm and with a reflexive thematic analysis design. Interviews were conducted with 16 psychology trainees. The results showed that quality of work life includes managerial support from management which was given through institutional and emotional support, feedback and recognition. On the other hand, workload evidenced a high work pressure, which generated a high emotional load. Finally, intrinsic motivation was generated by the social support of their environment, the intern’s vocation of service, their motivation to learn and the relevance given to the work.
