Abstract

The 21st century requires diverse skills to deal with complex challenges. This study aimed to identify the relationships between socioemotional skills and life projects. The sample consisted of 468 public high school students (14-19 years old). The following were used: Sociodemographic Questionnaire, Socioemotional Assessment Instrument and Life Project Scale. Correlation analyses were performed between variables and the potential relationships of socioemotional variables on life project scores moderated by school year and gender were evaluated. The results show that all Senna dimensions are related to the LPS dimensions, except Agreeableness. The Engagement with others variable was moderated by gender, having a relationship only for males with Involvement.
