Abstract

LOURENCO, Luciana Jornada et al. Brazilian Adaptation and Validation of the Career Competencies Questionnaire. Rev. bras. orientac. prof [online]. 2025, vol.26, n.1, pp.17-29.  Epub July 11, 2025. ISSN 1984-7270.  https://doi.org/10.26707/1984-7270/2025v26n0102.

This article presents the adaptation, content validity, internal structure validity, and discriminant validity evidence of the Brazilian version of the Career Competencies Questionnaire (QCC-Br), composed of 21 items. The sample consisted of 183 adults (64.50% female) who completed an instrument containing sociodemographic questions, the Big Five Personality Inventory (IGFP), and the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21). The results indicated content validity above 0.70. Confirmatory factor analysis preserved the original factor structure, with good fit and reliability indices, and demonstrated discriminant validity with the IGFP and DASS-21. We conclude that the QCC-Br is a reliable tool for assessing career competencies and is valuable for research, Human Resources practices, and career guidance.
