University demands require students to have a variety of resources to face challenges inherent to the context. The objective of this research was to explore the psychological resources that freshmen and seniors have for career transitions. 198 undergraduate students from Minas Gerais participated, 103 from the first semesters and 95 from the final semesters. To analyze the data, a quantitative and qualitative approach was used, evaluating constructs of Psychological Capital and Career Adaptability. Results indicated a higher factorial mean for Hope and Optimism. Freshmen reported expectations regarding their own performance to promote employability. Seniors, on the other hand, indicated satisfaction with their own performance, despite experiencing challenges. Finally, interventions aimed at greater satisfaction and well-being of college students are suggested.
