As it is a short-term, professional training modality, adjusting to Higher Professional Technical Courses (CTeSP) presents numerous challenges to newly admitted students. This study aimed to examine the predictive effects of career-related variables (career exploration and employability) on levels of adjustment to higher education (course satisfaction and dropout intentions) among first-year students (N = 217; M = 21.75) enrolled in Professional Higher Technical Courses (CTeSP). Path analysis revealed that professional expectations, human capital, and external employability significantly predict course satisfaction. Conversely, dropout intentions were influenced by professional expectations, human capital, and self-exploration.
