Proactive Personality is a characteristic that predisposes a person to act and promote positive changes. The study adapted and collected evidence of validity for Brazil of a reduced version of the Proactive Personality Scale, in a sample of 295 university students in STEM fields, with 66.5% of men and 49.8% self-declared as white. The final version of the instrument has eight items, with satisfactory fit and reliability indices, and confirming the unidimensionality of the original instrument. The scale presented configural, metric and scalar invariance for the groups of cisgender men and women. External evidence indicated that Proactive Personality correlated positively with Future Decent Work, Perceived Social Support and Volition.
