Abstract

CERQUEIRA, Cristiana et al. Employability Resources and Life Satisfaction in Situation of Unemployment. Rev. bras. orientac. prof [online]. 2025, vol.26, n.2, pp.229-240.  Epub Dec 08, 2025. ISSN 1984-7270.  https://doi.org/10.26707/1984-7270/2025v26n0209.

This study aims to understand the relationship between employability resources and life satisfaction among individuals who are unemployed, as well as explore the role of the length of unemployment in this relationship. A total of 172 people participated, 130 (75.6%) of whom were women, with ages ranging from 19 to 67 years. Participants answered sociodemographic questions, the Multidimensional Employability Measure, and the Life Satisfaction Scale. Simple linear regression analyses indicated that employability resources predict life satisfaction, and mediation analyses showed that unemployment duration does not mediate the relationship between employability resources and life satisfaction.

Keywords : unemployment; life satisfaction; employability resources; employability.
