PILAR, Sabrina et al. Accommodations at work for autistic people: a scoping review. Rev. bras. orientac. prof [online]. 2025, vol.26, n.2, pp.241-254. Epub Dec 08, 2025. ISSN 1984-7270. https://doi.org/10.26707/1984-7270/2025v26n0211.
Given the scarcity of Brazilian research regarding autistic adults, especially related to work, this study aims to comprehend what has been studied about accommodations in the labor context. Through a scoping review using the PRISMA-ScR method, 45 recent publications about the topic were identified. Characteristics such as year of publication, country, method, sample and reported accommodations were analyzed in each production. The accommodations were grouped into 5 categories based on the environmental factors of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health. The results suggest a predominance of qualitative and transversal studies, indicating the prevalence of accommodations relative to management practices and organizational culture. Implications for the national context and the elaboration of public policies of labor inclusion are discussed.
