This study investigates the psychosocial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on elderly individuals with diabetes, with an emphasis on implications for the post-pandemic period. It is a retrospective, descriptive, quantitative, and documentary research. For this purpose, data were collected from 170 medical records of patients exclusively attended to at the outpatient clinic of the Centro Estadual de Atenção ao Diabetes (CEAD) at the Hospital Estadual Alberto Rassi - HGG. The results of this study demonstrate a complex intersection between mental health and diabetes management in the elderly, intensified by a scarcity of social support and marked vulnerability. There is a significant prevalence of distress, including depression, anxiety, and feelings of helplessness, along with a high incidence of psychiatric disorders and substantial use of psychotropic medications.
