Supported by clinical experience with a “family - institution”, technically named guard family that adopted twelve kids, we intend to bring to discussion the needs of taking care of who is taking care. Family functions are deeply influenced by difficulties in the linking patterns mostly unconscious as well as cultural ways of dealing with the child dependence and the gains off it by the adoptive fathers that affect its growth. Are there a nexus between careless and kindness? Or between philanthropy and adoption?
