The authors discuss in this paper the struggles between postmodernism and identity, stressing the role played by the resulting tight bonds raised by the influence that the surrounding world (social, cultural and affective) has on the constitution of the psychic subject in three levels or axes: schizoid, narcissistic and symbiotic. Next, it is discussed the reparatory function that the therapeutic group offers to the patient, restoring him the contact with the intricate web of human relations and affects that normally are denied, spitted, etc.
