Abstract

FERNANDES, Elisangela Barboza; FERNANDES, Maria Inês Assumpção  and  ROBERT, Philippe. The outcome of group illusion within a group of adolescents. Vínculo [online]. 2016, vol.13, n.2, pp.24-36. ISSN 1806-2490.

This paper aims to examine how illusion expresses itself within a group of adolescents, notably by reflecting on the consequences of such illusion for the group process. To this end, the concept of illusion in psychoanalysis will be briefly introduced and defined, and the three moments identified in the functioning of the group will be discussed. Through the example of a group clinical case and related applied methodology - especially task-oriented approach, this study is mainly meant to reflect on the aspects to be considered when using the group device as a research and counselling tool with adolescents. It is based on the theoretical, practical notions supporting group psychoanalysis, notably Anzieu's group illusion, Pichon's emergence and Kaës's unconscious alliance - essential for conducting the sessions.

Keywords : adolescence; group; group illusion; group psychoanalysis.
