This study aimed to present the experience of planning and implementing a support group for parents of homosexual youth. In the first months, the group was restricted to the mothers, who reported the husbands great difficulties in dealing with their sons homosexuality. The participants described the impact of the meetings in reducing their isolation and in the possibility of dialoguing about common questions of their daily lives with other mothers in similar situations. The group has become a fertile context for the exchange of information and life experiences.
